5.3 > Robotask Service Manager

Post by Vara04 »

I have installed the new version 5.3.
There is now "Robotask Service Manager".
I don't read documentation but data set in "Logon
parameters" are not used to create the service.
The service is create with "Local System".
May be information in "Logon parameters" are used to other
thing ?

RoboTask service manager create RoboTask service under system account.
BUT RoboTask can get credentials of some user (if it is necessary)
If login parameters are valid, RoboTask can delegate the rights of this user to start task in service mode.

"Logon parameters" was all the time for service mode since version 2.x.
Read here please

Windows 7/2008 and Windows 8/2012 are very restricting access to interactive services.
So we created service manager for RoboTask. It can set general startup parameter of RoboTask Service.

I have got some pb and now I find how to configure my
Robotask service :
- In Windows "Robotask service" : I set a specific user
in "Log On" tab
- In "Robotask Service Manager" : In "Logon Parameters" I
uncheck "Log on Process And Tasks As Specified User"

With this configuration, all works likes in 5.2.
