Help creating a task...

I need some help creating a task if someone can help. I want to create a task that will telnet to a machine over port 25 and wait so many seconds for the SMTP banner to appear. If this banner appears, the task should end. If the banner does not appear in this time frame, I want it to send an e-mail alert and then end. Is this something that Robotask can do? If so, I need some help writing the task.Thanks....
