I want to ask about adding a split-view where you can open 2 or more tasks at the same time to have them side-by-side that way you can easily transfer or copy tasks over if the steps have similar steps without having to close the task your in to open another task and copy and then move it to the task you closed initially to improve efficiency.
I find myself doing this often when I'm trying to implement new steps to a process I've done for a different task and they are split up across the task making sometimes hard to find my place on the task to add the steps and having to go back and forth as mentioned. An example of what I'm talking about is maybe something similar to what Visual Basic does where they have tabs at the top of the window and you can quickly switch between them and then also being allowed to put them side-by-side to compare code. Thank you for taking the time to read this even if you don't implement something like this.
Tasks Split-View
Re: Tasks Split-View
Zac, I often face the same problem. I too need to copy blocks of steps from one task to another and currently this is not easy. I have to take screenshots of one task editor to compare with currently open another task to make sure I paste the steps to correct place.
So, I would like to express my support to your suggestion.
I would even take this further and suggest enhancing manipulations with blocks of steps. Currently we can only delete or copy and paste a selected block of steps. But moving several steps up or down within the task as a block would also be very helpful.
