We are testing Robotask V9.3 and have just discovered an unusual bug which prevents us from changing versions.
We have spots with a "TRIGGER" and "TRAY ICON"
the icons displayed in the taskbar are saved:
- Either on remote machines (\\distant_machine\folder\TheIcon.ico)
- Either on Ram disks (R:RamDisk\folder\TheIcon.ico)
With Robotask 8.2, no problem.
With Robotask 9.3 we encounter the following bug:
Randomly, about 3 out of 5 times, ALL local user tasks are erased when Windows shuts down. If Robotask is closed before Windows shutdown, the tasks are not deleted.
If trays with a "Tray icon" are "not enabled" this bug does not seem to occur.
The location of the icons, on RamDisk or in a remote network, seems to be the cause of this bug.
This is a very disabling bug, which prevents us from changing versions.
Note: We have tested this bug in virtual machines, Kubernetes & VMware. Same results.

What are the "spots"?We have spots with a "TRIGGER" and "TRAY ICON"
Where do you store your tasks? On network drive?
Unfortunately I don't understand your configuration...
in any case it's better to store tasks and other resources on local drive
I used the latest version of RoboTask too, but I don't see such problemALL local user tasks are erased when Windows shuts down.

The same/similar problem has occurred here.
I am just testing RoboTask 9,6,4 in Evaluation mode. Everything installed by default. When I was running a task, the computer was restarted by an other, uninformed, person. After restart ALL tasks, including demos installed at installation time, were gone. Simply the directory with all tasks were empty.

Re: [bug] Robotask V9.3 - Deletion of ALL tasks in local user
I have just tested on clean test machine.
Computer contains only clear system and one user account.
All tasks remain in place when I restart the computer or turn it off and start it again. No files have been deleted
Installation progran saves the examples to user profile. The default folder is:
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\RoboTask\Tasks
If you install RoboTask under one account (for example, "Administrator"), and then restart your computer and log in as a simple user (for example, "JohnSmith"), you will see an empty tasks folder and no tasks in the list.

Sorry for disturbing. My fault. Now I am performing backups of my tasks periodically.
