When I send an email with an XLS attachment, the message part of the email is put into an attachment with file name as ATT00018.txt and the message part of the email is blank.

When the file is NOT attached, the message is correctly displayed in the email message area with no attachments.

Is this supposed to do this?

You can easily do it by means of If...Then action. But why do you want to put message text as attachment?

I don't want to put the message as an attachement, but when I send an email with the XLS attachment, that is what happens with the message text.

When I do not send the attachement, the message if fine.

What version are you using?
I've just tested, it work well with attachment or without. Maybe your mail client shows this message so.

Oleg,

I am using Outlook 2003 for email.  Give me an email address and I will send you one of each and see if you see what I see.

What email client are you using?

David

I'm afraid that your spam checker on mail server (GEE Whiz GAS (Gee Anti Spam) v1.4.6) brokes the message. I found some incorrect changes in your message.
I tried to send similar message to myself and it looks good, but your message is broken.

I opened your message by "Outlook Express" and "Mozilla ThunderBird".
Outlook Express shows your message well, but ThunderBird shows incorrectly.

You are correct.

I tested Outlook Express here also and it shows the message well.

I tested with Novell Groupwise and it is not displaying correctly.

So that leaves Outlook 2003 not displaying correctly.

What now?

Thanks.
