Server was previously running on VMWare
Now migrated to Hyper V and the basic module cannot edit tasks

You must reinstall Basic plugin.
What version do you use? You can find all previous versions here

Probably you have copied the binaries to a new location instead of installing.

I can confirm that Oleg once again sorted the issue.
