Can I set a robotask variabele from my basicscript? How do I return a variable from my basicscript?
For example my script looks like:
Sub Main
Dim filedate
filedate = FileDateTime(" \\CWEB\D\Cognos\Productie\Logfiles\RoboTask\logfiles_nachtru n.txt")
RoboTaskApp.ExpandText("{SAVE_HOTFILES_NACHT}") = filedate
End Sub
This does not work...
Thanks in advance

You should use SetUserVariable method
Sub Main
Dim filedate
filedate = FileDateTime("\\CWEB\D\Cognos\Productie\L ogfiles\RoboTask\logfiles_nachtrun.txt")
'RoboTaskApp.ExpandText("{SAVE_HOTFILES_NACHT}") = filedate
' it's not a valid expression
' You can use ExpandText only for extracting expression value
RoboTaskApp.SetUserVariable("SAVE_HOTFILES_NACHT", filedate )
End Sub
Sub Main

filedate = FileDateTime("\\CWEB\D\Cognos\Productie\L ogfiles\RoboTask\logfiles_nachtrun.txt")
'RoboTaskApp.ExpandText("{SAVE_HOTFILES_NACHT}") = filedate
' it's not a valid expression

RoboTaskApp.SetUserVariable("SAVE_HOTFILES_NACHT", filedate )
End Sub

Set robotask variabele from script
Thanks a lot,
It works when typing:
RoboTaskApp.SetUserVariable("{SAVE_HOTFILES_NACHT}", filedate )
(watch { and })
