RoboTask Service manager - version 8.6

Post by mploug »

Hi,

Regarding RoboTask Service Manager (version 8.6).
Do you no longer have to install RoboTask Service?
I don't see the button for that.

Do you have to enter an IP address in the field Bind to IP?
Which IP address should it be?

Is port 5501 default?

Thnak you in advance

Kind regards,
Martin

In my case RoboTask service is already installed and running, so this button is disabled

You can keep this field empty (the default value). In this case network server binding to all IP addresses (as in previous versions of RoboTask).
As a rule Windows Server can have several addresses for different purposes.
The address 127.0.0.1 is local address. If you bind the sever to local address then you can connect to it from local console and can not connect from another computer.
Is port 5501 default?
Yes, of course. 5501 is the default port for service mode, 5500 - default port for application mode

In any case new version of RoboTask accepts all parameters of previous version.
