Exact error:
InternetConnect fails with message: The computer is disconnected from the network
I received this error an my FTP scripts over the last couple days, of course I did not realize the error was happening until today. Once I realized that the error was happening on ALL my FTP scripts I thought it had to be a problem with either the RT ftp engine or Windows 2000 Terminal Server FTP. Having read that RT uses the OS for sending FTP commands I checked out the network settings.
Turns out that somehow my internet explorer settings got changed to "Dial default connection every time" ... even though it's not what I want.
Solution to the problem?
Reset IE to "Never dial" for Internet Connection type.
Thankfully it was a simple fix, and we save archives of all our files before we delete them from their original locations.
