Monitor folder, copy new files to second folder

Post by frateg8r »

I'm running the trial to see if this app will replace Febooti's Automation Workshop for me. While I appreciate their ability to run vb.net scripting, their folder monitor / act on files capability is operating with an 80% failure on me, and their support is useless.

Objective: Monitor a folder for new files; copy any file meeting the FG_L.*.TXT mask to another folder.

Problem: These files can appear in the monitor folder very quickly - this morning, for example, 209 files added nearly simultaneously. Of those, Automation Workshop managed to process all of 29 or so. Critical fail.

I've tried several variations in Robotask to set this up - but nothing is getting copied for me. Can you please looks this over and provide some guidance on where I'm going wrong?

1.

Send the full task you try to create. Select the task, copy it, and paste the text of tasks into the message with CODE tags
This will be clearer.

2. I see that you want monitor two different folders on different disks.
But you try to copy *.txt files.... From what folder? The folder is undefined. In most cases it is RoboTask's folder, but the current folder can be anything...
