"Send Keystrokes" step - Window Name Wildcard?

Post by mh348 »

Using the "Send Keystrokes" step, how can I used a Wildcard for the Window name? I have an application that has the version number in the Window name, but I would like my task to continue working after that application is updated.

I'm currently using the "Current Window" option, but would like to make use of the "Specified Window" incase there are other popups/windows that the application opens.

See attached screenshot, where the Window name has a version number "End of Day Version 2017.2.1.0". Is it possible to just look at "End of Day Version*" without matching the exact version number?

Leave the constant part of the window title: "End of Day Version"

When you select the name from drop-down list you specify exact name at this moment. But you can edit the name and keep some part only
