The plug-in for working with Windows clipboard will be available in the next new version 2.1.

I think you have to use the "FTP Transfer Type->Binary" action before uploading and/or downloading.

In the current version (2.0.3) there is no such triggering event and I can't promise we'll write it soon. Anyway I have put that in our to-do list.

We just tried to add a couple user variables and reboot the computer - everything works properly, i.e. the variables were not deleted.
