Server 2008?

Oleg wrote:interaction with desktop for any services.
You can install and uninstall service. You can start and stop service from "Computer management", but you can't interact with service from desktop directly.

I can't seem to even install the service.
Thanks,
Bob

Server 2008?

I tried to install the Robotask service in Server 2008 (x64) with no luck.
Is it possible to work around this?
Will the service function with Server 2008?
etc.
Thanks,
Bob

RoboTask service no long in system tray

Try to log out of session, wait 5-10 seconds, and logon again. The icon must appear. Do you mean I should log out of Windows XP? If so, it is much faster to just stop and restart the service. -Leroy   Head up, if you stop and restart the service you might find some of you tasks fire (i.e. file watc...

Icon for service not showing

I have noticed, not just through an RDP connection but locally as well, that sometimes the green icon for the Robotask service does not always show up in the lower right hand corner.  It seems to work sometimes and not others. This seems to have come in with Ver. 2.4. Sure would be nice to somehow g...

True file Synchronization?

What I mean is, from what I understand, robotask can not determine if a file has been deleted.  So if I have: c:\directory\ sync with a USB key drive E:\, and I delete Filename.doc off of drive E:, won't robotask then copy the deleted file back to drive e:?  Instead of deleting the it from drive c:?...

What makes Robo Task so good

I work in a small/medium business.  I am the only IT person for 65 users and numerous servers in 2 locations. True, there are fancier solutions with nicer interfaces etc. but, for someone who has to fight for every dollar at work, Robotask wins hands down.  Stable, advanced enough to make complex ta...

True file Synchronization?

I am curious if there is anyway to get a true file synchronization process to function? Currently, I believe, there is no way for robotask to recognize a file deletion.  True?  So if I delete a file on one location it will get copied back correct? Maybe I could use Robotask to launch a program like ...

Praise-need to promote

This is going to sound stupid. I have used numerous scheduling apps with varying success.  I have to say Robotask is at the top of the list. My primary criticism is that you are not advertising enough!  I am convinced if more people were exposed to this product you would soon be overwhelmed with ord...
