Re: Position "Show Message" dialog
Technically there is no difference. But experience shows that users will always find a way to mess things up. They can accidentally delete the extra task, they can delete and then re-import the task so it won't run - my imagination is not powerful enough to predict all possible scenarios user can m...

Re: Position "Show Message" dialog
It is possible by creating another task that repositions when this window appears, you need to activate the trigger linked to the name of the window that will appear This is a great workaround. But I think there are certain functions that would be cleaner to have built into RoboTask. There are many...

Re: Clear Log action
This is a great workaround. But I think there are certain functions that would be cleaner to have built into RoboTask. There are many functions that you "could" patch for RoboTask using RoboTask. For example, RoboTask could have NO HOTKEYS (not even copy/paste) and you would have to build ...

Re: Clear Log action
True. But that setting applies to all tasks. And there's no way to know how many characters your task will dump to the log.
It would be nice if the log contained ONLY the log output from the last triggered event. IMHO.
As always, Oleg, thank you for your consideration.

Run/Test (selected) action directly from Task Editor
I suggest a feature to run/execute ANY selected action WHILE the task editor is OPEN. Use case: You want to test that a close window command actually closes the window. It would be convenient to simply have RoboTask run that one action even while you have the task editor open. As it is now, you eith...

Re: Clear Log action
An example might be a trigger that records the size of a new window into the log. The log would get very long very quickly. Or, as you say, you'd need to open RoboTask all the time, find the task, and right-click to clear the log so that only the most recent window info shows in the log. If there wa...

Position "Show Message" dialog
I suggest to add ability to "Show Message" action to allow the position of the dialog to be specified. For those with multiple monitors, having the dialog appear in a designated location is helpful.

Clear Log action
I suggest an action to clear the log for a task (default to current task). It could be a new action in the "RoboTask Commands" section. Or it could be in the Settings tab of the task.
