I created a couple user defined variables last night and after restarting my machine this morning they were deleted? Is there some option I need to set to fix this or is this a bug?
Thanks.

User variables delted when I reboot?
We just tried to add a couple user variables and reboot the computer - everything works properly, i.e. the variables were not deleted.
User variables delted when I reboot?
Alexey,
Thanks for the quick response. I just installed Robotask on another machine and tried the same scenario and now I am not losing the user defined variables. I will try and find the root cause and repost.
Great product by the way.

User variables delted when I reboot?
Alexey,
I changed the default location for the tasks and log files and the problem is solved.
Root cause of user variable deletion: My profile login script clears the robotask default locations files and folders.

User variables delted when I reboot?
Alexy
Tierseven and I still have this problem of some user defined variables being deleted on reboot. I've changed the default setting for the location of the log and task files to a couple of different locations with no luck. Oddly, I have a couple of user defined variable that don't get deleted.
any further suggestions?? thanks for the help.

User variables was saved in registry in HKEY_CURRENT_USER. Location of "logs" and "tasks" has no meaning. If Your profile was deleted when You logoff, all Your variables was lost for next seance.
If You have not permanent profile on computer, you may write a task which creates necessary variables, and turn on "Run when RoboTask starts" checkbox.

Thanks Oleg I'll give it a try.
User variables delted when I reboot?
the variables desappeare randomly.
when you logoff ,ROBOTASK can erease : all your variable , some of
them, half of them, or if you are lucky, none .
But it will happens that after a hard night of work, waking up you
will discover that your variables are gone for ever !
Perhaps... if i use the command "CREATE VARIABLE" for each variables
to start a TASK, then run it, ROBTASK should create the
variables that i could see just after, in the variables page ?
i will try this right now ...
THAT IS THE SOLUTION !
(i hope i will get a free software for this post )

This is standard way of working with user variables. You can see this in examples of tasks.i use the command "CREATE VARIABLE" for each variables to start a TASK, then run it, ROBTASK should create the variables that i could see just after, in the variables page
Create variables
do something
remove variables
If you don't remove variables, they will be kept in system registry for next running of RoboTask.
