Check database connection before use

Hello,
I'm using a task running during night-time checking a status table in an Oracle database every minute. Unfortunately for a couple of minutes I cannot connect with this database connection because database schema is disabled by DB admins due to maintenance reasons.
What happens then is, that the Dataset Loop raises an Error task which sends an email. I would like to avoid this emails and would prefer to have an Robotask action or function to check if database connection can connect or not before starting to use it.
